About Me

Married to childhood sweetheart Wayne, mum to daughters who have emigrated, and grandmother to three girls and three boys, Pauline first entered the property business in 2012 when she joined Broll Property Group in Durban. “From the moment I was introduced to the industry, I was captivated by its dynamic nature and the opportunities it presented,” she says. “I realised this was the field I had always envisioned myself in, and I knew it was where I wanted to build my career”. From 2018 to 2020 she was a leasing administrator, later retail property consultant, with the then-newly formed Dormehl Property Group KZN – Commercial, Industrial and Retail, in Durban. It was during this time that Pauline successfully completed her NQF4 and NQF5 qualifications. When the franchise closed following the destructive Covid-19 years, Pauline joined the Dormehl Phalane Musgrave team in 2022. Now PDE4-qualified, she is a property practitioner handling commercial, industrial, retail and residential; both leasing and sales. Pauline has thrived with her easy charm, professionalism and attention to detail. She says she wanted to stay with the DPG brand “as it has consistently worked for me and offered room for growth and learning”. “The camaraderie at our franchise is unmatched. We’re a team that works hard and plays hard to achieve our goals. Our manager, Gordon Swensson, has excellent work ethics, is always professional and is incredibly supportive. He ensures that we stay informed about latest developments in the property industry while keeping the branch running smoothly”. Pauline’s passion for real estate is deeply rooted in her upbringing. Her father worked in construction, and she grew up hearing stories about new builds and properties with which he was involved. This always sparked her interest. “I’ve always found satisfaction in helping clients navigate the process of buying or selling homes… and seeing their excitement. It's rewarding to know that I’ve built long-lasting relationships with my clients, often turning into friendships. “Being self-driven, I thrive in the dynamic nature of real estate, especially when working with decision-makers and understanding the nuances of different markets. It’s a career that allows me to combine my passion, people skills and business acumen” Pauline’s achievements started in her teen years when, at Durban’s Southlands Senior School, she was Victrix Ladorum for athletics. Sporting achievements outside of school have included taking gold and silver medals for Indoor Women’s Cricket. Prior to entering the world of real estate, Pauline worked as a nurse and an emergency medical ambulance assistant. She then moved into the corporate world as a Shipping Co-ordinator in the Logistics field, with both imports and exports. She has a vast knowledge of logistic operations and requirements when it comes to property requirements in this sector. Pauline has also acquired secretarial, marketing and psychology diplomas. Away from property, she enjoys oil painting, DIY and crafting, photography, gardening and sport
