About Me
TO SAY that ever-smiling Pranitha Singh is a woman on the move is something of an understatement. Not only did she earn both school and club colours for running, in her youth, but she also ran on a provincial level.
Born in Durban and raised in Verulam, the Glenhaven Secondary School alumnus continues to be on the hop and achieving success – now as an agent at Dormehl Phalane Musgrave.
Pranitha’s late husband, Ravind, had his own Durban real estate office in the 2000s, and in 2007 he and Pranitha’s brother took the opportunity to buy a Sky franchise, Sky being the BEE arm of Acutts.
Pranitha joined that team in 2008, in administration, then branched out into sales. She went on to join the Dormehl Phalane franchise in 2014, when the Acutts branch changed to that franchise, and has been a hard-working member of Dormehl Phalane Musgrave since 2019, the year her good friend, Gordon Swensson, took over the branch.
Swensson is a strong part of the reason Pranitha is devoted to the branch, she says, labelling “the Boss Man” as “an amazing individual – so passionate about life and so caring”.
Having grown up in Redcliffe, Verulam, and matriculated from Glenhaven Secondary School in Verulam, Pranitha achieved high school and club colours for Athletics. she went on to acquire a Damelin Business Management Diploma before steering herself towards a career in real estate.
She believes a great property practitioner should carefully listen to clients, constantly keep them updated, be honest and transparent, and give the sort of service she, herself, would expect. She describes herself as “helpful, diligent and positive”.
“I discovered my true strength of being positive and keeping my being /vibrations high during the Covid lockdown period and also after the loss of my spouse. I have learnt to appreciate and value the simple things in life and take more joy from being in nature.”
\Pranitha loves working at the Dormehl Phalane’s Musgrave branch: “We have a very relaxed atmosphere, everyone gets along so well and management is very caring and approachable”.
Describing her strengths as “dedication, commitment and optimism”, she says her motto in life is “live just for today. One day at a time!”
Away from the hustle and bustle of the property world, Pranitha loves to slow down, enjoying reading, taking morning walks, listening to music, dancing and watching sport (especially cricket and tennis).
